Constructed from solid glass blanks for durability, the Penn Mariner® is unlike typical solid-glass rods, with tapers comparable to more expensive tubular blanks. Weight is minimal when compared to other solid-glass rods, courtesy of some clever engineering from Penn rod designers, using the latest glass composite materials and construction techniques.
