V 100 Vectran Double Braid, Color Coded
The Vectran core gives this line high strength with virtually no creep, and the polyester cover ensures excellent durability. Excellent resistance to fatigue caused by flexing. Works flawlessly around tight-radiused sheaves even under extreme loads. Surpasses even T-900 for extremely strong, low stretch, durable line.

Comments about New England Ropes V 100 Vectran Double Braid, Color Coded:
I replaced the 3/8" headsail furling line with V-100 after the original line failed under way. Wanting a line that would not overfill the furling drum I chose the V-100 8mm with a load test of 8,000#. This line is incredibly strong. It is a bit stiff like any new line. It is already starting to limber up. Cutting and finishing the line is more difficult that standard polyester lines. It doesn't melt for a burn finish but can be taped or tied. Cutting the line requires using shears, a few strands at a time. For high stress loads, tight radii (furling drum), reliability, and durability I highly recommend this line. Warning: wear your gloves- the line will burn if it gets loose.
I handed a piece of the core and a pair of dikes to friends; no one could even dent the line!
