Gunnel Guards
These polyester-covered guards will protect your boat from dings and scratches and they won’t rot in the sun or saltwater like cotton guards. Great for use on dinghies and swim platforms, too. Fabric tabs attach easily with screws or nails. Half Round is for flat surfaces; 3/4 Round is for 90° edges. Sold in 10' or 20' lengths or by the foot up to 50'.

When I built my little plywood and epoxy dinghy I didn't want to spend the[$] for a proper rubrail and my sailboat suffered from it. After a year I found this product on sale and installed it and my sailboat is now happy again. My advice, spend the money up front and avoid the scratches and paint streaks. This stuff ought to last forever.
