I was a Star Rod dealer for years at [...] in Steinhatchee Florida. This is the best rod I have ever sold or used. I have literally caught or captured hundreds of grouper/snapper while both commercially fishing or for recreational purposes. I wouldn't consider leaving the dock without this Rod when fishing offshore (bottom fishing) it is very sensitive and I can literally tell when a fish is sniffing the bait. It's that good. Just buy one or two or three, you'll be glad you did. I have 3 myself with Penn 330 GT2 Level wind reels on mine. Love them
