7 amp PV7D is a cost effective shunting regulator for smaller 6V, 12V or 24V solar only applications, expandable to handle charging currents from 30 to 500A. Works on single or dual battery bank systems and uses the FlexCharge Energy State Taper Charge Method for high efficiency, giving a full charge without gassing on 12V system with gel, AGM and flooded battery types. Reverse polarity protected and fully sealed for use in high humidity environments. Green LED indicator.
25 amp NC25A is a series regulator designed for alternative energy charging systems ranging from .1A to 25A. Ideal for solar (PV) and permanent magnet generators including outboard motors and smaller wind generators. Includes a charge divert feature for using excess charging source energy for other tasks, or for placing a load on permanent magnet charging sources such as wind generators to prevent over speed conditions. Draw: 5mA. Expandable up to 100A using an optional contactor. Green LED shows when panels are producing charge current and Red/Green LED display shows charging, divert and low battery levels.

Had 2 PV14s and 2 NC25s for several years.
Both PV14s eventually drifted (lower) in their on @ off voltages. One now switches constantly because of minimal hysteresis (3-year @ 5-year life).
Both NC25s need occasional readjustment to switch off at 14.1V. One NC25 melted in a Baja summer when used to control 2 parallel 135W panels (max output ~20A).

The PV7D is the perfect solar controller for a vessel with separate house and start batteries. After having one for a year, the batteries are always topped up, virtually no water loss, and small size so can put anywhere. Simple, well designed, an on/off light, functional, easy to install.
