There are better specialized anchors for specific bottoms, but for overall use, nothing as good as a CQR. Been using one since 1983, dragged once in all that time, and it reset itself then.
Do not trust the knockoffs. They do not work..don't know why, but the original is excellent. Changing directions in soft material, it screws itself deeper. does not break free and need to reset. Biggest problem is the number of people who buy the copies, then refer to them as a CQR, when they don't work.
Best anchor for all around general anchoring. Only when special conditions exist are there others that are better in a one condition situation.

This kind of anchor is not secure at all. What is the most touted pro, its hinge or swivel link, turns to be the weakest point for its reliability. This anchor drags and jumps side by side when you need it the most. I do not recommend this at all.

Great anchor, it is worth a few extra bucks not to have to keep on buying those worthless anchors and having to cut the anchor rope and loosing the anchor along with it. I would strongly recommend this product.
