These units are not waterproof and the warranty does not apply if they are damaged by water. No suprise that they quickly ingest saltwater when installed on the bow of a 53' sailboat. I contacted Aqua Signal when my second set failed. They would do nothing for the 2 sets that had already failed, but they informed me that these had been discontinued an replaced with Type 33's for 12V and Type 34's for 24V. I am suprised they are still for sale, if you buy them, make sure to completely seal them with silicone but still don't expect more than 8 or 9 months use before they fail.
