Comments about West Marine Men's Skipper Fleece Jacket:
Works great as a base layer when its really cold, but also works on its own when the temperature is milder. Very convenient pocket locations and variety.

Comments about West Marine Men's Skipper Fleece Jacket:
The term "Jacket" is probably not the best description and is what probably drew some negative comments. This is a very good fleece layer that can also be worn as an outer layer but will not prevent wind like a windbreaker type shell. This with a weatherproof shell is great for coastal sailing. Add this under your foulies for more comfort and warmth. It is really good in the chilly mornings around the house as well. Nice interior pockets.

Comments about West Marine Men's Skipper Fleece Jacket:
This fits those days when a flannel shirt isnt warm enough but a coat is too warm. Really nicely styled and looks great. Size is generous to fit over even a bulky shirt and still be comfortable. Waist length is good although sleeves are a bit long but overall still a great buy.

Comments about West Marine Men's Skipper Fleece Jacket:
Bought this from West Marine when they went on sale a few weeks ago. Last weekend it was 60F in about 20 knot winds. The coat didn't stop the wind nor was it warm. It would be a nice attractive jacket on a 68F day with no wind, otherwise save your money.

Comments about West Marine Men's Skipper Jacket:
Very nice length below belt line.
Fits perfect, sleeves seem a touch too long with is perfect for wearing under a another jacket.
Collar is tall for good neck warmth.
Fits perfectly under my Hein Gericke motorcycle jacket with the liner in it.
Originally bought for an evening dinner cruise, come to find out I think this will also be a great jacket under the main jacket for cold weather riding. Will have to see what happens when Phoenix has 'winter'

Comments about West Marine Men's Skipper Jacket:
The first comment from "SF Bay Skipper" is somewhat myopic regarding this garment. Look - if the jacket isn't functional, provide details as to why, don't just hit-and-run with your comments.
In my opinion, the jacket is stylish, warm, and functional on and off the water in Florida. It's perfect for layering which is important for changing weather conditions. Most of all, it's an exceptional value.

Comments about West Marine Men's Skipper Jacket:
This is a jacket that concerns itself with dorky styling as opposed to a functional piece of clothing for SAILING. Better stay on the dock with this!
