The NEW SX series incoporates all of the fully automatic features of popular SMART TABS, in addition to the rust and corrosion free durability of molded compsite materials. Benefits include improving fuel economy by 11%, reducing bow rise by 40%, and lowering on-plane speed by 35%, great for tubing. Eliminate porpoising and chine walking, and achieve improved handling and smoother ride in any water. Thermo Molded Copolymer Composite material provides superior strength and resilience for any rough water situation. Tracking Ribs have been added to improve handling at higher speeds. Rust and corrosion are also eliminated so there is no need for anodes.
Assembly can be completed in seconds and the installation in a few minutes. The only tools required are a drill with a 3/16" bit and a phillips screw driver.

My 21 foot Sea Ray open bow runabout loved these trim tabs! For only having the boat out once on the lake for 4 hours and having them set on the factory settings I was very surprised on the performance. Looking forward to spending more time running the boat and seeing just how well they work and maybe changing settings !

The construction will obviously be immune to water damage. The upper mount seems a bit flimsy. The instructions refer to a 25 degree mounting angle but don't specify 25 degrees from what? Turns out the manufacturer's web site defines that as 25 degrees below a plane parallel to the bottom edge of the hull of the boat. All necessary mounting hardware included. Can't yet testify to the durability but have some minor doubts. Very inexpensive if it works.

My 18' Trophy had problem with the boat slapping down when move through choppy sea's (Chesapeake Bay) to the point of being intorable at any planing speed. No amount of engine trim (135hp Merc) would solve the problem. I always felt that the boat was stern heavy with both engine and fuel in the reat.
These tabs worked great. I can now move with speed through the chop in relative compfort

The instructional video was a great help in planing the installation. The tabs were installed in less than 30 minutes. The differece in the ride was noticeable. I did have to fine tune the setting. I was able to change the setting while the boat was in the water by removing the pin and moving it to a new position.

I installed these on one of our 17ft skiffs powered with a 90 horse an they worked great for the first five trips the boat would almost be on plane the whole time with very little bow rise even at very slow speed.On the sixth trip I took some employees out for a little red fishing we were in a glassy back bayou when the boat became very unstable I had to come to a full stop. Upon inspection we found that one of the actuators had failed I went back to west marine and was told[...] to contact Nauticus four phone calls with no answer and a e-mail that has gone unanswered that my fellow boaters I call very bad customer service...

Definitely, a winner solution! I was skeptical at first, but bow rising improved dramatically planning speed decreased from 18 to 12knts, no porpoising at all. It does the job. Easy to install.
