These boots arrived in the winter time during an ice storm with lots of freezing rain. I wore them almost all day. They provided good traction and kept my feet dry if not warm. I will keep a pair of wool boot scocks near at hand for cold weather.

I use them fishing in fresh & salt water. They have good deck soles and also some tread for walking on other surfaces. Fit is right enough to allow heavier socks in colder weather for warmth. Good height keeps water out and allows foul weather pants to cover easily. Wish I had them years ago...

I use these tall boots primarily for taking my dog ashore--lots of deep mud in eastern Maine! They aren't as flexible as the Gill boots that I had, but the Gills leaked after a few years, and these seem much more rugged at a fair price.
