Festoon Star Navigation Light LED Replacement Bulbs

I bought this product (PN 8001655) to replace the OEM bulb in my Aqua Signal Series 25 Anchor Light (PN 25000-7). The LED package says that it is intended "For Series 25 & Other NAV Lights." Bottom line is that the bulb does not come even close to fitting because if its larger diameter. The bulb impinges on the copper strap that goes to the top of the bulb, preventing the bulb from mating with either the upper or lower contact. There are two different kinds of adapters supplied with the bulb, neither of which works. It is marginally possible to get it to fit by using both adapters at once, but the fit is shaky and not what I want at my masthead. I have made inquiries to both Dr. LED and West Marine. I will post their replies - if they reply.
