We were cautioned about trying to get a cat to wear it but we tried anyway. He's almost 11lbs and slightly handycatted due to a neurological problem. Since she can barely walk in this (usually just tips over)so it's great to keep her in place because she has no fear and would just walk off the end of the boat.

I guess that the best thing that can be said is that our husky didn't freak out when we fitted him. He's not a water dog so I can't attest to recreational use. He wears it for safety in case he goes overboard. We're pleased with the workmanship, fit and adjustability.

Currently using for boating and around marina. The vest was easy to use and very adjustable for best fit at all required points - neck, chest, and waist. The only negative is the heat from the nylon covering but overall very effective.

This is a terrific life vest except for one critical aspect: The large amount of floatation in the back and lack of collar floatation means the pet floats face (head) down and could easily drown.
A simple redesign could address this "fatal flaw." Until then, purchase a different vest with this critical feature.
