This item offers a perfect solution for dressing a hole that a cable is passing through. If you need a water-tight solution, remember to fill with silicone (obviously) and there will be no issues. This item is well suited for non-marine applications as well. Another fine product from West Marine!

This product does a fairly good job at creating a nice looking exit out of a hull. The wire cap comes with a rubber gasket and protects against the occassional splash, but does not seal around the cable completely. I predrilled my fiberglass for the screws, but the screws are very soft and easily prone to stripping. Works fairly well in non critical applications that don't see much water.
