Comments about Beckson Marine Vent O Mate:
The stainless steel covered model looks great and protects the plastic from the UV damage. Black plastic might be more durable for installations without the SS cover. Although it only works when there is a breeze, it doesn't draw any other energy. I like the simplicity, and the fact that there are no moving parts other than the damper.

Comments about Beckson Marine Vent O Mate:
I bought this as a replacement for the deck vent on my 1978 Catalina. It appears to have been what was originally used, because the screws lined up precisely on the existing holes.
I could feel the air moving in just a slight breeze, so it appears to work. Time will tell whether it will leak when the spring thunderstorms (hailstorms, tornadoes, etc.) come, but at this point, I like it!
