Comments about Folding Grapnel Anchors:
I like the idea to tie the rope at the bottom of the anchor and use a loop of 20lb mono to secure it at the top. Also, I tie the other end to a small empty detergent bottle so I can toss it overboard and quickly follow a big fish or undo a snag. Later, I just retrieve the bottle/anchor and continue fishing.

Comments about Seafit Folding Grapnel Anchors:
I have an classic wooden boat and like all Classic OLD boats they did not require by law having saftey equipment so storage areas were not even concidered. This Anchor folds flat and can be stored easy in the available space on the boat. When deloyed it holds great.

Comments about Seafit Folding Grapnel Anchors:
I mostly use this anchor for kayak fishing for sturgeon in moving water. It holds well and I have been able to anchor in some fairly strong currents with it. Often, I have more than one kayak using the anchor at the same time.
It is fairly easy to pull the anchor if it is not snagged. I tie the rope through the hole at the base of the claw and I attach the rope to the upper part of the shaft by running it through a loop of 20 pound test monofilament tied through the hole at the top of the anchor shaft. Then, if the anchor is snagged, the monofiliment will break with a good hard tug. This allows the rope to break free of the top of the shaft causing the claw to be pulled loose from whatever it is snagged on by pulling it out from the bottom.
