Wanted to mount a rear view mirror on my pontoon boat, but it has no good place for my old power boat mirror (which has a 7/8" gap), and my Bimini frame channels are 1" square. SO, I bought a 7/8" square aluminum channel and cut to size. Purchased Taylor hardware and, upon its arrival, found it to be equal to or better than my original equipment which itself was not too shabby. The mirror mounting piece runs inboard of and parallel to the Bimini frame and is held securely by the Taylor hardware. It looks like it is original equipment.
