Comments about West Marine SB 275 & 310 Wood Floor Sportboats:
The boat (the 310 model) is used at our lake place for puttering around and for the grand kids to fish from. With the 8hp Merc and 1 person 19.6 mph (gps)is achievable and its a lot cheaper to operate than my Cobalt. Assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired. Fairly easy to assemble once you have done it several times. Its a fun little boat.

Comments about West Marine SB 275 & 310 Wood Floor Sportboats:
This is a good performing boat with a 4hp 4stroke engine. Still slides in turns but not as bad as flat bottom roll-ups. The 4 hp mercury 4 stroke will plane the boat very easily with one person but not 2 people. I weigh about 215 lbs and boat runs pretty fast, plains off in about 10 seconds.
Very satisfied except for assembly instructions.
Comments about West Marine SB 275 & 310 Wood Floor Sportboats:
Comparing with other brands, the WM model 275 is the best model for the money.
Comments about West Marine SB 275 & 310 Wood Floor Sportboats:
I've had this boat since 2004. I towed it behind my 26ft sailboat over 1500 miles and have used it on my 38ft sailboat (with davits) for 2 years now. It's not the greatest boat in the world, but I'm happy with it.
