Kingfish Folding Deck Chair
Our best-selling line of high-value deck chairs just keeps getting better! We’ve improved the seat and back with durable plastic foundations instead of plywood, so they won’t rot or warp. Resilient foam cushions are now contoured for enhanced comfort and covered with water-resistant vinyl. Extensive new QC measures have been put in place to ensure best in class performance. Frames consist of stout 1" diameter tubing and they include a safety catch to prevent accidental folding. Kingfish chairs are surprisingly lightweight and very stable for use on-board or shore-side.

Comments about West Marine Kingfish Folding Deck Chair:
Where are the replacement cushions? Bought the SS model for longevity...nope 2yrs = junk.. cushion material is so cheap! i think there should be a recall or allowance for previous purchasers for these lemons!1! Anyone want to make cushions for these?

Comments about West Marine Kingfish Folding Deck Chair:
Would not buy--vinyl cracks and tears after two years. Vinyl very thin, therefore, entire priduct not worthwhile. Bought stainless, but if vinyl only last two years could have bought aluminum and had same poor result. No replacement pads--why?

Comments about West Marine Kingfish Folding Deck Chair:
We love using these chairs on deck, BUT- they rot away! I'm considering my Second round of repair/replcement of the rotted plywood backings. The vinyl is getting ratty looking so I don't think I'll bother. So what now, throw them away? ****We should be able to buy replcement arms, backs and bottoms for these chairs, at a reasonable price.**** Let us know how/who/where???

West Marine says: "Sink in to one of these seats and you won't want to get up!"
Anyone whi has used these for a couple of seasons will tell you: "Sink in to one of these seats and you won't be able to get up!"
Every one of these that I have seen, and I own 3, have had the plywood in the seats rot out in no time and most of us had a guest fall right through!

Comments about West Marine Kingfish Folding Deck Chair:
I wanted a sturdy comfortable fold-up chair to put in the boat for additional seating if needed but able to take out of the boat to sit on the rocks or sand bars to fish or watch the waves. This chair is great for both purposes. It can also serve as quick extra seating for small fry to watch tv/movies during family time.

Comments about West Marine Kingfish Folding Deck Chair:
I purchased four of these and had them stored on the bridge when not used. The cushions are fabricated using cheap plywood that rots when it gets wet. In the second season all the bottoms broke through and I am now trying to rebuild. They are very expense and should have been made with marine board rather than cheap plywood. The frames are excellent and I hope I can rebuild the cushions. Also the cushion material seems light weight and should have been a heavier gauge.

Comments about West Marine Kingfish Folding Deck Chair:
We used these on our deck (of our boat) and these
showed lots of wear, even when stored in boat cabin when not in use. We took them back and bought another well known brand . These are well made and lighter to take on and off the boat.

Merchant response: As we've mentioned in response to other reviews, the plywood was a component of a prior model. The current model of this chair is made from more marine appropriate materials such as durable foam cushions, resilient plastic foundations, water-resistant vinyl and strong 1” diameter tubing. The Kingfish Folding Deck Chair is better and more durable than before.
