Using to power a notebook with navigation software and an EVO 4G cell phone in cradle. I've tried many others which are rated higher that do not work as well.

Comments about West Marine Portable Modified Sine Wave Inverters:
This is a great convenient and small device that really works. I've had it now for 2 weeks. While I purchased it for boating, I'm discovering that this small inverter is staying in my car most of the time due to the many ways it can be used. My blue-tooth ear piece does not have a car charger--now I can charge it on the go with my regular household charger. Don't have a flashlight handy but do have a drop light? Plug it in without having to run for an extension cord. On a trip but the battery in your razor died? Charge it while driving AND shave at the same time! The number of potential uses are almost endless. This one is just 150 Watts so you won't be able to plug in a blow dryer, ladies, unless you get the larger unit.
The unit has fallen out of my car twice as I had it sitting on my seat but it still seems to work fine. It is only 2 weeks old so I'll have to check back and post again perhaps in 6 months or so. The only con I've experienced so far is that the tiny fan inside the inverter is just a little louder than a hum which seemed to "disappear" after becoming accustomed to it. Can't wait to try it for camping next summer!
