I just bought a 30ft. sailboat and I was looking for a comfortable shoe with good traction to wear while on the boat and sailing. I liked the weight and look of the shoe as most of the boat shoes I have seen in the bast including my previous Timberlands were well....UGLY. These seemed light and were from a good company and they were a pretty good price. So I bought them, and my wife bought a pair. We are both VERY happy with them. They feel good, have great grip and are VERY comfortable. I would but another pair of these in a heartbeat...

Bought at West Marine Store in Hato Rey, PR. Was looking for a comfortable sailing shoe that I could also use dockside, and in powerboats (ie. fishing). Shoe is extremely lightweight and comfortable, dries quickly, has excellent grip, and firm footing. Cannot say about durability, as only used once in a regatta. Shoe will mold itself to your feet, so it doesn't matter if you have slim or wide feet, personally I am EEE width, and these expand perfectly. Compared to Harken and Sperry, you have to go higher in the price scale to get a similar offering from them. Also, they look better at the Club House than other brands. Try them, highly recommended. Use spandex socks so they dry quickly. The drying problem with most tech boat shoes is not the shoe, but the cotton socks being used.
