These boots were a major disappointment. Though they look and fit great, they are not at all waterproof. My feet were soaking wet after sailing just a few hours in mild conditions. Do not waste your money!!

I race on Lake Ontario on a keelboat in every position from foredeck to helm. I have not had a good experience yet with those flimsy, rubber sailing boots. They are cold, have poor grip, and hurt like heck! These boots I just received from West Marine are comfortable, warm, and have a proper foot bed in them. There is just enough room for a thin pair of socks, which is perfect as the boots are toasty warm. I have only had them a short time so I can't comment on any cleaning experiences. So far I'm very happy with this purchase.
