Comments about West Marine Women's Third Reef Jacket:
Great jacket for the first year. Then one sleeve and shoulder developed large dark marks and began to leak. Lining is disintegrating, shedding little white flakes everywhere. I've given the jacket good care, rinsing as soon as possible after salt water exposure. Never laundered. I had expected a West Marine product to hold up for more than one year, so this was a big disappointment.

Great product. Designed well for women and is complementary to a woman's build. Purchased for use off-shore on Gulf of Mexico coastal cruising on a sailboat.

Foul weather happens even on land and this keeps me dry. Could not find the "inner zip pocket" that was mentioned but I can live without it.

Comments about West Marine Women's Third Reef Jacket:
I bought this jacket for my daughter to use as a rain coat at university. She loves it and all her SoCal roommates now want one. Foul weather gear is better for rain protection than any of the land-based products. No leaks, taped seams and it breathes. This parka is also long enough to be a parka but with freedom of movement as she rides her bike to classes in the rain.
