Comments about Rdk Products 50w Semi-flexible Monocrystalline Solar Panel:

        The advertised size of this thing is 20 1/2"W x 29 1/2"L x 1/8"D.
The first thing I did when I got it out of the box is check the size, since that is absolutely critical to getting it into the spot where it has to go. BEWARE: the panel is longer and wider than it says!!!
The width is actually 30 cm, which is close to 29 15/16".
The height is actually 53.8 cm, which is 21 3/16".
And the depth is about 1/8" only on the main flat extent; the connector blob is far thicker than that. So it's bigger in ALL dimensions than was stated on line.

I lucked out; it will still fit on my hatch cover.

One technical detail that I was not expecting: there is only one electrical port for connecting solar panels. I don't know if you can use this thing for multiple panels. The (SHORT) manual is very brief, and is full of typos and punctuation errors and misspellings.

Also, beware of my 3-star rating. I have not used this thing yet. I would have preferred to leave the rating blank, but I was forced to give it a rating in order to communicate the warnings above... an irksome feature of this site.

        Service and delivery comments:

        * very prompt delivery via Fedex ground. Great.
        * arrived in totally pristine condition.
