SURVIVAL TECHNOLOGIES  OceanMaster Life Rafts are renowned for their uncompromising quality and design sophistication. In addition to meeting the requirements of the International Convention of the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) 1996, as amended, the OceanMaster is manufactured to NATO AQAP 1 quality standards and holds approvals from most major international marine authorities, including the United States Coast Guard and UK Department of Trade. Today, there are over 40,000 OceanMaster liferafts in service on commercial, naval and fishing vessels worldwide.

Meeting the needs of all types of commercial craft, the OceanMaster range comprises of two different models: standard throw-over and davit-launched. These rafts come in a variety of sizes accommodating 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20 and 25 persons.

Every raft comes packed in a weatherproof container to keep the raft drier and better protected for longer service life. The container is secured to a galvanized steel deck-mounted stowage space-saving low profile fiberglass container and cradle assembly available for 4, 6 and 8 person OceanMaster liferafts.

Durability
Double buoyancy chambers are manufactured from a specifically formulated polyurethane (PU) proofed nylon fabric. This fabric is highly resistant to abrasion and impervious to corrosion in the marine environment. Far more durable than rubber-based fabrics, the reduced need for repairs results in considerable savings in servicing costs. Welded seams, significantly stronger than glued seams, give the raft an extremely rugged construction. Inflated, the OceanMaster can withstand repeated jumps by survivors from a height of 15 feet while its tough, rigid container withstands a drop from a height of 60 feet with optional containers of drop heights up to 150 ft. The davit-launched model inflates while still at deck level, allowing survivors to board the liferaft and be lowered safely into the water.

Stability
The OceanMaster 's advanced stability system is achieved by rapidly deploying, high volume, weighted water pockets on the underside of the floor which stabilizes the raft even when it's empty. The increased strength and efficiency of the uniquely designed anti-tangle sea anchor, and the aero-dynamics of the canopy, help keep the raft on the water. A righting strap on the underside of the floor assists in righting the raft should inverted deployment occur in extreme conditions

Visibility
For optimum visibility, the OceanMaster 's bright orange canopy incorporates retro-reflective strips. The dry cell automatic sea light meets the SOLAS 2-mile visibility requirement and exceeds the recommended life duration of 12 hours. To conserve energy, the light can be switched off during the day.

Ramp
An inflatable boarding ramp designed to meet the U.S. Coast Guard standards as required by the international treaty for Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS). This boarding platform allows for easy access from the water into the liferaft for all survivors, regardless of physical condition

Floor
All OceanMaster liferafts come equipped with heat reflective insulating material that uses body heat to warm the interior of the liferaft
