Comments about 120V AC Water Heaters with Heat Exchanger:

Purchased the S600 in 2010. Alumim heat exchanger has already corroded and leaks. Did not even make it 2 commercial fishing seasons.
        Would not recommend this unit.

Comments about 120V AC Water Heaters with Heat Exchanger:

I live on my boat and have had to replace my water heater every 3-4 years since they start leaking. The water is very hard where I live and the water heater heats the water to 170 F causing calcium from the water to crystalize in the tank. These calcium crystals also block up the screens on the sinks and shower head. These crystals cause the tank to corrode and ultimately leak. It works fine for a while, but replacing it is a pain.

Comments about 120V AC Water Heaters with Heat Exchanger:

I purchased the 20 gallon model for my vessel in late 2007. It was installed in my engine room, which is protected from salt air, etc. Within 3 years it started leaking from within the housing and finally broke loose several weeks ago, (March 2012) pouring water into my bilge and draining the water tank - could have destroyed the water pump as a result. Advertising stated that it was of stainless steel consturction - only to find out now that the tank is aluminum; housing is SS. I called the Mfg, and the sales rep with whom I spoke was surly - "well what do you expect from aluminum???" Totaly dissatisfied with the product AND the manufacturer!!!
