Boomkicker® Boom Supports
Boomkickers are the alternative to mechanical or rigid vangs, support the boom and eliminate the topping lift for sailboats 14' to 38'.
Boomkicker works in conjunction with your existing vang tackle to support your boom, allowing you to keep the leech of the main open in light air. It supports the boom when the mainsail is down, so rolling or flaking your main is a breeze and you no longer need a topping lift. Installs easily inside the vang but independently of it, where it is out of the way.
Two coated fiberglass spring rods are clamped into PTFE hardcoat anodized aluminum ends and attached to universal mast and boom fittings. Pulling the boom down causes the Boomkicker to flex upward, releasing straightens the Boomkicker lifting the boom.
Universal fittings for the mast and boom, fasteners, drill and tap are included. The boom track fitting, standard on larger models, provides additional up travel and adjustment. Additional sizes available.
