I didn't get a chance to use it so I can't comment on it's function. But, I did a mock install before building my new dashboard and learned that there is a serious design flaw in this system.
The steering unit can only be mated to the tilt unit with the cable entering the steering unit horizontally. If you cannot accommodate horizontal cable runs into the unit, this will not work for you. It will not allow cables to enter vertically from beneath or at a 45° angle. Nothing but horizontal will work.
This is silly since if the unit were constructed with mounting bolt holes every 15° around the housing and the tilt unit with bolt holes every 120°, the tilt unit could be installed plumb and the steering unit could mate to the tilt unit in increments of 15° accommodating almost any cable entry angle.
But no, the holes in the steering unit and tilt unit are a unique configuration that accomodates only horizontal cable entry to the steering unit.
