Comments about Webasto FCF Series Air Conditioner, FCF 24000 (115V):
The dimensions for the unit do not tell you you need 2 additional inches on all axis for clearance, you only find this out when you read the manual. Due to this I had to rebuild my nav station to fit. The discharge for the fans are hard to adjust, as the screws that hold the shoot at the selected angle are hidden underneath the foam insulation, and some are difficult to reach because of the discharge shoot sticks out where you have to place the screw-driver.
It is not loud, but there is occasionally a 'rattle' that I have not pin-pointed as yet.
Other than that, the unit works great in our 30' sailboat. One vent opens into the galley at the aft end of the cabin, one opens in the front by the hanging locker and that run is split to also discharge into the v-berth.
We did not need all the items in the install kit, so we bought the seawater pump and strainer separately. We found the vent hoses and grates at a local 'big-box' store, but it was hard to get aluminum/plastic fittings, so it may be easier to buy the vent kit as well.
Some may find the 24,000 BTU unit we chose over-sized and prefer a 16,000 BTU unit. Our unit dropped the interior temperature 20 degrees in 25 minutes in the middle of a Georgia summer.
