Pros

    Cons

    • 2nd one didn't work any better
    • Clock stops running for no apparent reason.
    • Front face plate hard to get on after winding.
    • Tried two just to make sure first wasn't a lemon
    • Will just get $ back and fix old one from Navy

Comments about Weems & Plath Atlantis 8-Day Wind Ship's Bell Clock:

Couldn't believe such a beautiful clock from such a famous clock-maker name could be so bad. We just had it sitting still and it kept stopping for no reason. Hate to think what would happen if it was rolling around on a sailboat! Not West Marine's fault but they may want to re-think continuing to sell this brand.

Comments about Weems & Plath Atlantis 8-Day Wind Ship's Bell Clock:

Gave to my husband for Christmas. From the first day it was "set up" it hasn't worked right. May run for a few minutes or may run for 5-6 days. But it always ends up stopping for no reason. Hopefully it is just a lemon. Plan on returning for a different one that hopefully will be better. Spent money to buy a nice stand for it, which is now not returnable because we drilled a hole in it to attach the clock. Oh well.....

          Service and delivery comments:

Had shipped to the Oahu West Marine store and they were great about notifying me it was here and having it ready when I stopped to pick it up. Hopefully, returning it will be just as easy.
