Comments about Weems & Plath Bluewater Time & Tide Clock:

My old Weems tide clock went south a couple weeks ago so I trashed it thinking a new one would not be necessary, i.e., I have plenty of alternatives to determining tide and/or time on the boat. But no, as it turns out, I missed the old device on the bulkhead so I saw this small face timepiece at the WM and had to have it. It's smaller than the old one but not impossible to see from the aft stateroom. I like it very much.

Comments about Weems & Plath Bluewater Time & Tide Clock:

I knew prior to purchase that tide predictions in Alaska are somewhat different than the East Coast, which is were this device is made for. However, we have found it useful for a quick reference as long as it is adjusted every 4 to 5 days.
Basically it's a nice to have but not necessary. It looks nice on the wall and the time piece is accurate.
It's a decent price but wouldn't pay much more for it. It came well packaged.

good buy for the money. Is a basic clock but the tide function is a big plus. Thicker than it needs to be, probably done to look like more expensive units

Comments about Weems & Plath Bluewater Time & Tide Clock:

I am not sure how "occasional spray" is defined by the manufacturer. I installed this piece next to my companionway, under a small fairing. Most of the time it s dry, but yesterday the rain was more "horizontal" than usual, reaching the device. It turned out that water flowing down the front glass easily finds it way inside and collects there. I got about half an inch of water behind the front glass, the arms were almost reaching it during the movement. I had to drill a hole at the bottom to drain the water, and I am planning to use some life caulk between the front glass and the case.
