Used for docking mostly, hooking lines and pushing off. Has great feel, does not mark boat finish.

My issues are that tips fall off easily as well as rubber handle grips. Not sure why west marine does not sell replacements for both .

The main issue are that the twist and lock doesn't work or unreliable after short Time: year or so. Cleaning or flushing does not seem to help.

Comments about Floating & Telescoping Boat Hooks:

Very lite weight and easy to handle. My wife now always has it in her hands when nearing a dock or other boats. I like to think she's trying to be helpful instead of her not trusting my handling of the boat.

The telescoping shaft does not lock securely enough to allow you to push a heavier boat away from the dock.

Product came damage (poll was bent half way up). Contacted customer service by email with a picture. They sent a replacement FOC within 2 days. Now, that is service

Great tool, beefy unit. We were hit by big wind in the night. Anchor didn't hold, used boat hook as we got to shore. I got water in it, as I contracted it the rubber handle popped of and, plop, into the water. I am now on a quest to try to buy just the rubber handle.

Great product and does exactly as described. Only thing I can say is to put a drop of gorilla glue in caps or you will lose them.

Comments about Floating & Telescoping Boat Hooks:

My other boat hook broke but was very old. Bought this to replace it and used it the very first day we were out. Used it to push off of some logs we got snared up into while fishing. Pushed off some shallow bottom to help protect the outdrive. Used the hook to snag the mooring buoy at bay. The soft rubber tips also make it great for pushing off of boats during dockage. It is a must have tool. Can be used to save a swimmer in trouble too.

Comments about Floating & Telescoping Boat Hooks:

This is a solid & well constructed hook. I opted for the non-telescoping hook, because it is easier to use in a panic situation. This hook is very light-weight, and it floats. I would definitely buy this again, the 6' length is perfect for my needs.
