Comments about West Marine AL-390 Heavy Duty Inflatable Sportboat—Gray PVC:

Really enjoyed while it lasted. Planed well, very stable. Quite heavy though. Deflated and stored out of the sun during hurricane season in Mexico. Just put it together for season 6 and inflated to find that several seams had completely given way and the rest of the boat could be peeled apart as well. PVC is not the choice for tropical sun. Pay the extra for hypalon or you are throwing your money away.

Comments about West Marine AL-390 Heavy Duty Inflatable Sportboat—Gray PVC:

I haven't owned an inflatable in over 20 years when I had a wood floor 10 footer that I used for a tender for my cruiser. This boat is much more boat than that one was. Aluminum floors make a very stable non slip platform. Very well constructed and heavy duty. Very stable. Planes easily with a 15HP 4 stroke. Only had 2 people and gear in it so far so I don't know how it will handle a heavy load. I don't expect it will be a problem given it's capacity. Cavitation when you catch only a few weeds is annoying. Might be my motor. A little too much splash over the transom from the motor (happened with my last inflatable too). Too heavy and bulky (even deflated) to be really portable but I knew that when I bought it. I wanted a "large" inflatable and I keep mine on a trailer.
The simplicity of these boats is great. I sold a 21 foot center console and bought this and although I obviously can't do all that I could with the other boat I'm having a ball with this boat exploring places I never could before. It's easy to maintain, easy to trailer and launch, cheap to operate and so far I have done every thing I did with my last boat. Even more!

Comments about West Marine AL-390 Heavy Duty Inflatable Sportboat—Gray PVC:

This is a great boat for 2 to 4 adults. Plently of room for 2 people plus fishing gear plus a cooler. Assembly the first time was a little difficult but the second time is much better. Only takes 1- - 15 minutes to fully assemble and get in the water!!

Comments about West Marine AL-390 Heavy Duty Inflatable Sportboat—Gray PVC:

Just assembled this for the first time. It went together easily and inflated without any problems. From start to finish It took me 30 minutes and I'm not that quick. Came apart even faster. The boat itself is fine, the quality is there. I have my doubts about the durability of the foot pump though, might be a good idea to pick up a spare.

This boat is a LOT heavier than it looks, I'm going to have to get a trailer for it. With motor, I'm over 350lbs assembled.

Only two shortcomings I found about the boat itself is the transom hardware (screws etc) are not installed with marine caulk. I pulled them all and corrected that. The last is, there is not a lot of accessory support thru West Marine. I would like to add a few things such as rod holders and extra seat supports.
