    Comments about Anchor Rode Bags:

Been using the large bag for 6 seasons now. Working perfectly. We don't have an anchor locker, so we have to bring the rode up each time we anchor. This makes life a lot easier than bringing up 200 feet of rode all loose. Just bring the bag up.. hook it up,.. tie the bitter end off.. done.

The only improvement I would suggest is to have some chafe protection where the rings are. Mine is wearing through the mesh at the rings, as it rubs in the locker and when I pull it out.

I was going to make a rode bag myself, but just the cost of the rings would be close to the price of this bag already made.

It would be perfect if it could support itself open, to aide in loading the bag, but a very minor concern.

If you need a rode bag, and your rode will fit in this.. then it will work well.

Holds the anchor rode, chain and all. Dries right inside the bag. Easy to deploy and easy to stow back in the bag.

          Comments about Anchor Rode Bags:

We have put 30 metres of chain in this bag and keep it in the bow ready for deplyment of our second anchor if necessary. Thirty metres of chain is too heavy to move around the boat, but the bag keeps it compact and all together. If you had less weight in it, the two handles would make it possible for two people to carry it around the boat.

            Comments about Anchor Rode Bags:

I'm using two of these bags to keep 3-strand nylon line for two anchors, already flaked. I like that the bitter end can be accessed through the bottom of the bag so it can be fixed to a cleat or the windlass before deploying the anchor. The bag has stainless steel rings at top and bottom, and it can be folded back around itself so to retain an easy-to-use shape.

                Comments about Anchor Rode Bags:

I have had a large bag aboard our 65 ft performance passagemaker "Convergence" since 2004. It makes moving the backup/utility anchor and gear we use for keeping the stern into the swell easy. The bag keeps the gear organized and ready to move anywhere aboard or into a dinghy to deploy. The anchor line is faked into the bag along with the chain.
