Product Description

At 25% lighter than our popular Tahiti, the Antigua offers a more compact, easier-to-carry choice for your onboard optics. Internal center focusing provides enhanced waterproofing and a clean appearance. All-weather design is great for boating and outdoor activities. Nitrogen gas inside the binocular eliminates fogging on internal lens surfaces even in severe conditions like rainstorms and high humidity. High-index BAK-4 prisms produce a bright, sharp image with vivid contrast for detailed viewing. Rubber-coated body provides great shock resistance and a secure, slip-free grip.

Comments about Antigua 7 x 50 Waterproof Binoculars with Compass:

WE moved here from the UK and the excellent 12 year old Fuji Binos we brought with us to the USA stopped working in that the compass light would not work, even with new batteries. Wanted a reasonable priced replacement with compass and lighting, tried the tahiti model which had irritatinglY fiddly lens caps that fell off every time they WERE PUT back IN THE bag, probably because it was too small by 3/4 inch in every direction. returned the tahiti model foR THE WET MARine 7x50 Steiners, these had a good carry case, OK lens caps but were fiddly to focus unless just left on the mid-point so called sport focus position, a compromise using depth of field. the compass scale fo me was sometimes unclear and the model supplied had a compass matched to zone 2 for 'dip' when we are in zone 1 The warranty on the Steiners is from STeiner not west and was only 10 years compared to limited lifetimev 30 years.

Comments about Antigua 7 x 50 Waterproof Binoculars with Compass:

New to me. Have West marine Raiatea. Front caps tore off. This is much better both the eye lens caps and front lens caps. Compass and lighting are great for taking bearings, night viewing.

Comments about Antigua 7 x 50 Waterproof Binoculars with Compass:

I bought another West Marine binocular but the compass illuminator didn't work. I returned the defective unit to another West Marine store due to my travels, only to find their in-stock replacement unit didn't work either.
This unit was on sale at the time, so I switched to this unit. This one is shorter and weighs less.

The optics on this model are terrific, very well done. Works well in low light situations, too. The lens caps are very sturdy. This model should last a long time.
