Frequently Bought Together
Although you COULD use this kayak for just getting out on the water and paddling around with a bunch of stuff...why waste an opportunity to go fishing?
Our Bahama 10.5 Sit-Inside Angler Kayak is designed to get you to where the fish are, along with the gear you need to catch them unaware. So what makes this a fishing kayak? It's extra stable, has fishing-specific features like built-in rod holders and plenty of room for the tackle and supplies you need along the way. With a sit-inside kayak the low center of gravity makes it easier to paddle and you are more sheltered from cold water. Add an optional spray skirt (sold separately) for even greater protection.
Hull Design
A tri-keel "Stabilizer" hull design has been incorporated into the Bahama 10.5 for superior stability so it will stay upright while you're casting, reeling in and landing your catch. Made from roto-molded polyethylene, the hull is flexible and impact resistant so it will endure years of rough handling. And with a capacity of 335 pounds including you and your gear, this kayak will hold everything you need for a day-long fishing trip.
Comfort
The Bahama 10.5 features a roomy cockpit making it easy to enter and exit. You'll find several details that make this kayak comfortable for most paddlers. Adjustable foot braces allow you to customize the cockpit for the length of your legs and give you the ability to adjust your leg position throughout the day. The roto-molded seat includes a high-back, adjustable, padded back support and padded bottom, plus molded-in gear trays and a cup holder.
Deck
Beginning in the bow, you'll find a molded-in handle and the first of two areas with shock-cord rigging for securing items on top of the deck like a dry bag (sold separately). Next is a molded-in dashboard that makes a great place for keeping items you need to access quickly. Then a pair of molded-in rod holders are located behind the seat so your rods will be out of the way while you're paddling, but easy to grab when you reach your favorite spot. At the stern is a molded-in recess with shock-cord rigging for a fisherman's storage crate or tackle box (both sold separately). Finally, there's a molded-in handle that doubles as a tie-off point, plus a drain plug added for convenience.
Anchor Trolley System
Along the side of the Bahama 10.5 is an included anchor trolley system that operates like a clothes line and allows you to deploy and retrieve an anchor (sold separately) and bring it close to stow it. Anchoring your kayak lets you adjust and hold your position to account for wind or current.
If you don't already own them or it's time to replace the ones you have, remember to order a kayak paddle and a life jacket (both sold separately) so you'll be ready to start catching your limit as soon as possible!
