Comments about Cruiser 976 Portable/Permanent Toilet:

If this toilet was made from a different material, then it would be my first choice. I love the pressurized flush system. But the cracks in the tanks that appeared after only 18 months of light use are a deal breaker.

Comments about Cruiser 976 Portable/Permanent Toilet:

I ran into the same problem as others, the cheaply made flush handle came off track (I've only had the toilet for one season of light use) and then snapped off. Poorly made.

I have had two of these and they both leaked ruining the carpet in my boat. Would NOT buy or recommend.

This is a well make unit and looks good too. Works better then I thought. Tip: release the pressure after using.

Comments about Cruiser 976 Portable/Permanent Toilet:

We got this wihen my granddaughters were planning on a short cruise with us. They are aged 4, 5, & 9. Teaching them to use the boats built in head was out of the question for this offshore trip so we picked this up to 'fill the gap.'
                Surprise, it has been great!
I read the other reviews and almost didn't buy it because they were so negative, but my experience has been the complete opposite. Maybe I didn't try to use it as a construction site head or maybe I just don't mistreat it enough. But this device fills a need and does it well. If you treat it with some care, you'll solve a problem affordably and well.
No stink with this one if you follow the directions, but emptying could be a little easier.

Comments about Cruiser 976 Portable/Permanent Toilet:

Had it on my boat for three months so far. About a month and a half in the flush mech broke and there is no possible way of fixing it due to the design of it. Getting it pumped out after the weekend and using a fair amount of the chemicals it is fine and doesn't smell at all even without the proper seal. It's not the worst product in the world but I wouldn't get it again and wouldn't recommend it to a friend.

Comments about Cruiser 976 Portable/Permanent Toilet:

The good, it comes with all the equipment to setup for dump out or pump out - that was a surprise.

Tank level gauge is not readable even with a flashlight.

The handle that opens the door to the holding tank easily falls out of it's groove. This is a less than fun job of reaching inside to push, with great difficulty, the gate back into the groove so that it can seal the tank back up (FYI, you have to take the toilet apart). It will not seal if you do not fix this and the smell will get out. YUCK!

If they fix the tank valve arm, this would be a great head. But the cheap plastic rod and gate simply don't get the job done. We rarely even use it so I can't imagine how someone that uses it all the time gets by.
