Group 27 Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) Battery, 12V, 92 Amp Hours, 175 Res. Min., 580 CCA, 900 MCA, 9 7/8"H x 12 3/4"L x 6 3/4"W, 63 lb.

AGM batteries are great in both deep cycle and starting applications. They charge more quickly than conventional batteries, they have low self-discharge rates and they’re maintenance-free—no need to add water. The spill-proof, valve-regulated design eliminates acid spills and terminal corrosion. AGM batteries are safer to operate than conventional flooded batteries, as the chance of explosion or acid spray is reduced. Their flexible design allows them to be installed in almost any position (except upside-down), and they are resistant to vibration damage. Rated at 300 cycles. 18-month free replacement warranty.

    Expensive but worth the money!

Comments about West Marine Dual-Purpose AGM Battery, 92 Amp Hours, Group 27:

These batteries are quite amazing when properly maintained with a charging system in place. I've charged them immediately after depleting the batteries while using a trolling motor. They are 7 years old and are still working about 80 percent capacity from when I bought them. Expensive battery but considering its life span not really that expensive, especially since they're still working.

I put two of these in my 28 foot sea Ray sundancer. They worked great and hold a charge all day even when using electronics on the boat.

    Great Batteries!

Comments about West Marine Dual-Purpose AGM Battery, 92 Amp Hours, Group 27:

These AGM's are great. I just bought six new ones to replace identical batteries on my houseboat inverter system. The first six worked perfectly for nine seasons before they began to weaken. Yes, they are expensive . But, given they last so long, they are well worth the price. Plus, they are totally maintenance free.

Previous batteries lasted for one half of warranty period of 5 years but new batteries are only warranty for 18!months. Are the new ones not as good as the old ones and they cost more!

    Cons

      Best Uses

Comments about West Marine Dual-Purpose AGM Battery, 92 Amp Hours, Group 27:

Battery was located in a hard to reach area, made servicing a lead acid battery very time-consuming. This battery will eliminate that and still provides plenty of cranking amps for the engine.
