Comments about Flexible Vinyl Rope Dip:

This stuff is painted on a line, supposedly sealing the fibers so they don't fray. However, it goes on like latex paint, and does not soak easily into the fibers, so it does not seal the line very well. Also, it dries like latex paint, meaning the outside dries while the inside stays gooey. The instructions are not that clear, but if you use it, try to work the stuff into the line, then let it dry for a long time, and then do two more coats before cutting the line. Cut with a VERY sharp blade or you will disturb the fibers, and DEFINITELY soak the end in the sealant again, and then let it dry for several days. Carpenter's glue works about as well.

Easy to use. Stopped rope ends from unraveling. Useful when making up dock lines, anchor lines and when preparing lengths of rope to keep handy on the boat.
