Comments about West Marine Inflatable Pfd Rearming Kit, Automatic, 24 G., 1/2" Threaded:

If you have to rearm your vest because it either inflated automatically or you inflated it manually, before you screw in the new CO2 cylinder, make sure the firing pin in the housing where the cylinder screws into is fully retracted. Make sure none of that pin extends into the area where the head of the cylinder will end up. I didn't check (the pin on my vest was still in the firing position - it was a bit sticky) and when I inserted the new cartridge - you guessed it - POW, hiss, re-inflated vest. If that pin's sticking up, poke it down with a pen or a round dowel or whatever and save yourself another $19+ dollars.

never leave your life vest in a hot vehicle it may inflate, that's what happened to mine. Then you will need to order a re-arming kit.
