We bought two of these when we delivered our 42ft sailboat from Connecticut to Florida. We stay clipped-in at night or whenever there was only one person on the cockpit, and obviously when going forward on deck.
Note: these (and probably all other inflatable vests) are not good for racing if you will be leaning out over a lifeline because the lifeline/strap will be rubbing against the inflatable bladder (causing chafe) and will press the inflation mechanism into your ribs.

I haven't tried any other inflatables, so I don't have much for comparison, but here are my observations:
+ The built-in harness and D-Rings seem very sturdy.
+ Vest is quite comfortable. It's not heavy or hot or cumbersome and I generally don't notice I'm wearing it.
- The metal ring things used to adjust the size are junk. They will hold the size only under load. When you're just sitting around, they come loose, so you're constantly readjusting them. We are going to add some Velcro to keep the straps in place.
- The two metal D-Rings for attaching the tether tend to clang together all the time. We are going to add a bit of rubber coating to the contact points to solve that.
- There is no place to attach a strobe. I used a hot knife to cut a slit in the cover fabric, on the side, at the upper chest, so the strobe's clip can fit through the Velcro on the side and then through the slit. When floating in the water, this will be facing up.
- The manual inflation pull can snag on things and accidentally inflate the vest. Mine activated while I was digging around for something in a lazarette. Oops.
- The rearming kits are not the most expensive, but at $25, they aren't cheap. Kits for other vests generally range from $14 to $50.
- No pockets means no place to store a PLB or other safety/signaling equipment. You must wear this on the outside of all clothes and jackets, so it gets in the way of those pockets.

I got ours on sale for 50% off so if you're not in a hurry, wait for a sale.

After using for more than a week of offshore sailing I'm disappointed. My main issue is that the velcro closure on the outer edges that contain the yellow inflatable part make for a rough edge and it chafed on all of my new tec shirts. The shirts are ruined after the week of use. I noticed on my friend's which is an earlier version of the same jacket that they have eliminated the edging band that would have prevented the chafe issue. My advice, spend a little more money and get the next model up. Red one...tried one on the smae trip and it is much better quality.

I have not had a chance to test in real world conditions because the water is getting hard in northern Wisconsin. Fits well over t-shirt or offshore jacket.
