YETI
Tundra Coolers, Ice Blue

An extreme example of how durable and insulated a cooler can be, YETI coolers are built to last. Quality starts with strong, seamless, roto-molded, polyethylene construction, which unlike the “blow-molded” construction of some other brands, is the same as that employed in the rugged hulls of today’s whitewater kayaks. Ice keeping ability is excellent, with 2" of insulation in the walls and 3" in the lids, which include a freezer-style sealing gasket to keep the cold in and the heat out. Details include fail-safe, molded-in T-latch keepers and full-length self-stopping hinge that won’t hyperextend and break. Other outstanding features include nonslip, non-marking rubber feet to keep the cooler where you place it, recessed drain plug with rubber washer for leak-proof reliability, molded in tie-down points, textured grip handles with nylon rope attachment to make carrying easier and dry-goods rack to keep your favorite munchies dry.

  • Material: Roto-molded polyethylene shell; Injected polyurethane insulation
  • Latches: T-Rex rubber latches with molded-in keepers
  • Hinges: Full-length, self-stopping integrated hinge
  • Drain Plug: Gasketed, screw-in plug designed to allow water to drain when partially opened
  • Warranty: Five years

I have the Roadie 20, the 65 Tundra, and the tundra 45. We go up to the Canadian wilderness camp on islands for 10-5 days, and for 30 days a year. You can check my details under the Yeti 65 review for more detail. The Tundra 45 works great for 2 people for 4-5 days along with the Roadie and no dry ice. The temps range around 80-90 degrees the Roadie stays in the boat to thaw out food, and keep lunch cold. Anything longer than 4 days 4 people...the Tundra 65 & Roadie comes into play with 10 pounds of dry ice, and acts like a freezer to keep things from going bad. If we do 8+ days we add the 45 Tundra as a back up, with another 5 pounds of dry ice...to the Roadie and the 65 for good measure. Just a recap we initially used 100 pounds of dry ice- 60 pounds on up graded coolers that would last 3-4 years each. Now we are down to 15 pounds, and substantially smaller, and more efficient coolers. The Yeti's are heavier empty, but lighter, more efficient, and less bulky full. Which is a great trade off. Enjoy !!! Thanks for your time, AJ

Comments about YETI Tundra Coolers, Ice Blue:

This is not my first Yeti Cooler. I have the Tundra 105 and the 20. This purchase was a Tundra 65. This cooler performs just like the others. Perfect! I highly recommend Yeti Coolers.

By TinaB

Comments about YETI Tundra Coolers, Ice Blue:

Perfectly designed. Small enough for travel and big enough to fit everything you need for a day of fishing, day at the beach, weekend camp trip, or packed down for a road trip! We are a Yeti family!

My first Yeti!

By lemme14

from Ellicott City, MD, United States

Comments about YETI Tundra Coolers, Ice Blue:

This is my first Yeti and I love this thing. I took it on a long tournament weekend with the kids. Filled with ice before leaving for the weekend and was still mostly frozen when we returned 3 days later (I did also use Yeti ice on the bottom of the cooler). No more hunting for the hotel ice machines to keep our beverages cold.

Amazing

By NoelleC08

Comments about YETI Tundra Coolers, Ice Blue:

Best purchase I have made in a very long time! This cooler is definitely worth the investment. I went on a bachelorette party and stocked the cooler with beer and ice- the beer in my cooler was COLDER than the beer in the fridge!! I left some ice in the cooler after the trip, just to see how long it would take to melt and it was still cold with ice in it after a week!!

Buy This Cooler NOW

By Oregons Beaten Path

from Oregon, United States

Comments about YETI Tundra Coolers, Ice Blue:

I received the Yeti Tundra 50 as a Birthday present. I had always wanted one. I can say that this is, by far, the best cooler I've owned. I tested against my former favorite cooler, a Coleman. You can see the results of the test in the attached video.
