Without a doubt, these yurbuds Inspire Bluetooth earphones deliver what they say they do. Great sound, wireless convenience, good battery life, comfort, and quality. I've had these for about a month, including running a marathon with them, and here's what I think. First, most negative comments I've read are about either sound quality or comfort/fit. As far as sound quality, they are really good and still allow you to hear ambient noise (important for street runners). Are they audiophile quality? - No, but for sure they produce pretty darn good sound (especially with the right EQ setting on your device). I would even say better than the wired yurbuds I've had for over a year. One thing to note is that they may have a skip or two in sound semi-frequently if you wear your phone on a waist belt (I've tried both front and back). It isn't enough to be a huge deal, but I do find it somewhat distracting. Oddly enough, at home I can walk away 20-30 feet and not get that so I don't know why it happens when running. This has NEVER happened to me with the phone on an armband, so that's what I switched to. No biggie to me, but you may think differently. As for comfort/fit, if you've had wired yurbuds before these are pretty much exactly the same. Just find the size enhancers (the plastic earforms) for you and you should be good to go. The one thing I was worried about before I bought these was weight, but that has not been an issue. Yes they are a bit heavier than wired versions, but with the right size enhancers I have found them to basically disappear from notice after a few minutes. I have found personally that I like to wear the cord in front of my neck because I don't feel it at all that way. Also, make sure that the enhancers are rotated on the buds so that when in place in your ears, the phones are hanging straight down because I found that if they are slightly rotated they may tend to rotate the buds just enough to have them slip out after you're really sweaty. With the right position, this just doesn't happen. The battery life seems pretty good. In my experience so far I get about 6-7 hours on a full charge. Another point that has turned me off of other wireless phones I've looked at is the ease of use and location of the controls. There is a nice BIG button on these that controls pause, skip forward/back, and phone. Very easy to feel and operate, even with gloves. Volume up/down and on/off buttons are pretty well positioned but a little small. Still very usable, just not at all with gloves. Fortunately, I don't mess with them often while running so no big deal. In sum, if you have and like wired yurbuds, you'll like these. If you haven't tried yurbuds, it may be a leap of faith regarding the comfort/fit, but I bet if you have a little patience to find the right enhancers, you'll end up really liking these. I highly recommend these for runners who want wireless convenience, good sound, and great fit and comfort.

I'm a college student and I bought these because they were one of the only brands sold at my campus' bookstore when my other headphones broke. While the sound and durability of these headphones is of decent to good quality, the design of them is horrible. They're "adjustable" with 3 pieces (the part that goes around your ear, the earphone/speaker, and the cushion that goes on the earphone) which means that they come apart so you can make them fit your ear better. Unfortunately, they also come apart when you don't want them to..quite often. There have been MANY times when I'm using the earphones that the speaker falls out of the earpiece and I have to catch the earpiece before it falls to the ground. There have also been NUMEROUS times in which the cushions on the earphone have fallen off while I'm getting the earphones out and unraveling the knot in them (you know the knot that all earphones magically get the second you put em in a pocket or backpack lol) to put em in my ear. I can not tell you how many times on campus I've had to retrace my steps for atleast a few minutes just to try and find the cushion to one or both of the headphones because it had fallen off somewhere. It has happened so many times that I got fed up and HAD to write a review on these headphones just so others can heed my warning. One time, I was walking from class to work, which is about 12 minutes, and I was unraveling the knot in the headphones only to get halfway to work and realize that the cushion had fallen off somewhere, so I had to retrace my steps all the way back to my class, which is where it fell off. Wasted at least 15 minutes...and I couldn't leave it because the earphones are very uncomfortable and not loud without the cushion. So, all in all, the sound on these is cool, but if you buy 'em, be prepared to retrace your steps a LOT!

Horrible Earphones

Comments about Yurbuds Ironman Inspire Talk Earbuds—Black:

I was so excited about buying these earphones, especially since I had lost several other pairs recently. But, when I took them out of the box, the two sides that wrap around your ear were different sizes. One was smaller than the other and had a different angle, and the other was oddly bent at the end. This made both sides uncomfortable. Also, although I'm not very concerned about how the sound is, it wasn't very good. People looking for very high quality sound earphones should not buy this. When I was trying to put it back in the box to return, I realized the side that wrapped around your ear didn't even fit properly into the box. I also purchased another pair in a different color, and it has the same problem. I will not be buying this or from this brand ever again.

Comments about Yurbuds Ironman Inspire Talk Earbuds—Black:

I've had mine for almost a year. Run several races and hundreds of practice runs with them. I LOVE THAT YOU CAN STILL HEAR ONCOMING TRAFFIC & PEOPLE!!! But they are hard to position in your ear because they are adjustable so they spin. I've almost lost the over the ear part a million times! If you snag one during a run and it falls out you CAN'T just put it back in easily. I finally did totally lose one of the "behind the ear" pieces and couldn't find a replacement. So I called JBL and they are sending me a brand new pair of these!! Sweet!!!

Comments about Yurbuds Ironman Inspire Talk Earbuds—Black:

I've purchased this brand of buds a couple times now. I enjoy the sound and the fact that they fit my ears without slipping out, however, i have noticed that after using them for longer than 20min. They begin to adjust the volume of my music, independent of me. This has happened on numerous occassions with my current and previous buds by this brand. Surprisingly, it only occurs with this series. I also have the wireless brand and they are no problem and i dont have that issue.

Comments about Yurbuds Ironman Inspire Talk Earbuds—Black:

Bought these over a year ago and they've served me flawlessly for the entire time. A little big for my ears but great sound and volume and I've never had a problem with them falling out. I would like a way to make the silicone cover stop falling off in the case though.

Comments about Yurbuds Ironman Inspire Talk Earbuds—Black:

I just bought a pair of them and they worked really well but out of nowhere the left earbud just stopped working while I was in class. There's a warranty on them but I'm unaware of who to go to . . . Suggestions please?

Malfunctioning after 2 months.

Comments about Yurbuds Ironman Inspire Talk Earbuds—Black:

After 2 months of use (in the gym, on trail runs), one of the earbuds is crackling. The problem seems to be the cable near the headphone connector. I've done nothing abusive to the headphones. Very disappointing.

Somewhat awkward to place - indistinct r/l markings - would it be that difficult to make these clear? covers come off too easily. Remember some of us are a little older and use these outside in varying light conditions.

Love them!!!

Comments about Yurbuds Ironman Inspire Talk Earbuds—Black:

I LOVE these headphones. Some of the hard plastic earbuds begin to hurt your ears after an hour or so of use. I’ve also never been able to get the “in the ear headphones to stay in my ear for more than 2 minutes. These are a totally different story. The whole twist and lock thing is really quite genius. They rarely fall out and are very comfortable. These headphones have lived longer than any pair I’ve ever owned. As a college student and avid runner, I use them pretty heavily which is impressive that they are still working after 3 years. I also have a tragus piercing (the little nub that goes in front of your ear hole) so one of my concerns was that they would get in the way of each other. This is not the case, it does get a little sore if I wear them for hours on end but for the most part it is not an issue. The only down side to these headphones is that the little rubber ends tend to fall off pretty frequently. It doesn’t usually happen while they are in my ears though. They usually fall off in my backpack or in my purse which can be a bit of a hassle to find. That means if you aren’t careful you can easily lose those. I have not found a place where you can get just a replacement for the rubber pieces, so odds are, if you lose them you’ll have to buy a new pair. All that being said, I think this is a great product and I plan on being a lifetime customer.
