      Comments about 1015 Captains Varnish:

Beautiful finish with 320-400 wet sanding between coats (6 - 8 for handrails and tables).
If mixing 1015 varnish with 120/T-10 brush thinner, use no less than 10:1 ratio until you feel the brush pull the product smoothly over the target wooden surface. Brush thinner provides a nice, glossy sheen.
Requires thorough brush clean-up steps. Lacquer thinner worked the most for me: 1) mineral spirits, 2) lacquer thinner, 3) 120/T-10, 4) soap and water.

I used this about 5 years ago on my old Boston Whaler. It still looks good. I have a older 26' Stamas that I'm doing right now with the paint. Easy to put on and I light sand in between coats and it's coming out great.

                Comments about 1015 Captains Varnish:

Been using Captain's varnish for over 10 years; 2 boats now that have have refurbished with mahogany paneling and iron wood flooring, the Captain's brand is bit more expensive but Over delivers in High Quality results...well worth the little extra for lot of Gem quality finish.

                        Comments about 1015 Captains Varnish:

Love the rich color of this varnish which camoflauges much of uneven color in wood, especially if restoring old teak. Very forgiving, and gives you sufficient time if you need to brush out a small area again. Make sure you get the Petit thinner to use for first coats or if using a can of last seasons varnish. It is also a great value.
