Best Uses

Comments about Marelon Flanged Seacocks:

I have owned six of these valves (cant use the real name it gets flagged!) which were installed on new SeaVee's. The valves are very stiff to operate when new and get progressivly harder over time, even with frequent use. There is no way to lubricate them. The handles are weak and prone to breaking as the part ages. I installed 2 replacements on the first boat and had the exact same issues. They became too hard to operate after 1 to 2 years. Save yourself a few bucks, bite the bullet and buy quality bronze. These are at best a stop gap option and a poor one at that.

      Comments about Marelon Flanged Seacocks:

Well made seacock by a reputable manufacturer. I was impressed with the heft of the seacock compared to less robust ball valves. Not sure what the other reviewer was expecting but the thru hulls are always sold separately. ;)
