Works as advertised! Amazing!

Used it on a Pearson 26. I got 2 coats out of 1/2 gallon of flag blue. With some left over. Went on perfectly!

Mix with plenty of ventilation.
For brushing be sure to have thinner on hand.
If you only mix a partial amount of paint, store hardener in small air tight container, it will not last and get hard very quickly.
Interlux does sell the A & B components separately, this is my hit with this product and why I will not recommend it.

Things that are great about this product the way that Finish lies down flat it's amazing roller or spray or brush it so flat and shiny it looks like glass ! it kicks off hard within a few minutes so won't drip overtime on vertical surfaces

Comments about Interlux Perfection Two-Part Polyurethane Topside Paint:

You must have ideal conditions for this to work. And the conditions must be maintained for a 6-8 hour perios. If (a big if on the water) you can do this then the product works as advertised. We ended up moving the boat to a different marina to do the work because of the incessant 10-20 kts. of wind at our marina.

        Service and delivery comments:

Product was special ordered at West Marine. Other local vendors had it on the shelf for an emergency when we needed more.

Comments about Interlux Perfection Two-Part Polyurethane Topside Paint:

Do not purchase this product if outdoor painting. This product takes 24 hours to cure and is extremely sensitive to any moisture from dew or otherwise. You will not be pleased! Will dry to a dull, flat finish if exposed to overnight dew, regardless of painting between 11 and 1 as directions suggest. Should be marketed as an indoor, controlled environment application product. Not worth the money!

The second part called the "CURE" (hardener) was like hard putty when accessed for the first time. Would like to not use Interlux Perfection again if this is the quality of the product. Could not find any "Use by" information on the container.

Never expect a glass finish. It is not going to happen. Interlux....their technical support is awesome, they are very helpful and nice guys with a wealth of knowledge. After 8 coats, a TON of sanding and switching from a hvlp gun to a suction feed conventional gun at their recommendation I got better results, but not a glass finish as I demend. For the heck of it I tried rolling and tipping...I am not one for the Wood boat Victorian finish...If you want a glossy finish that CAN BE WETSANDED AND BUFFED if you happen to get a drip, speck of dust, or a bug fly into the new paint, buy imron. I would tell pros to avoid this stuff like the plague, and amateurs to never ever even think about wasting their time or money. I have to wait a week now for the solvent to release so I can sand this stuff down and IMRON it. After 8 coats, sanding this 28 foot boat down 5 times I have a $700 primer job.
