Leaning Posts
Shop leaning posts and swingback seats at West Marine.
Leaning posts and swingback seats provide comfort and utility while enjoying a day on the water.
What should you look for?
Installing a leaning post or swingback seat is usually a straightforward, uncomplicated task. However, before selecting a seat, take a good look at the mounting location and make sure you will have access under the deck where you will need to tighten the nuts for the mounting bolts. West Marine sells a wide variety of leaning posts and cooler seats, plus replacement cushions and parts. Determine beforehand what mounting hardware is included which in the case of fasteners (nuts, bolts and washers) must sometimes be purchased separately.
With rot-proof polyethylene chassis, stainless steel or aluminum frames, marine grade vinyl and upholstery foam, the leaning posts and seats sold by West Marine are built to hold up to whatever you—and the marine environment—can dish out!
Swingback Chairs
For pontoon and center console boats, swingback chairs offer a lot of flexibility. These chairs can fit one to two adults and include a backrest that can be switched from one side to the other. This means your guests can easily sit facing one way and with a gentle push of the backrest, face in the opposite direction. When shopping for a swingback chair or seat, there are a couple types to consider. Dry storage swingback seats are built around a storage box you can use to store life jackets or other gear. Another option are combination livewell/cooler swingback seats.
Anglers’ Leaning Posts
A day spent fishing is even more enjoyable with rod holders incorporated into your boat’s leaning post seat. Marine-grade upholstery keeps you comfortable, too.
Adjustable Height
For even greater flexibility, look for leaning posts with pedestals that are adjustable for height.
