This is the first paint to stick to my skeg in decades. I ran the outboard in Lake Michigan for over 50 miles last week. To my surprise, the paint was still on the motor.

              Comments about Zinc Chromate:

I used this Zinc Chromate to prime four brackets I made to mount a duckblind to my boat wihtout having to drill. The Chromate covered smoothly and evenly. When I finished and it dried, the brackets looked like they had been manufactured professionally. I know they'll last a long time. Now to camo them.....

This is still the best corrosion protection. Covers well and really coats against the elements. You should wear a resperator when using this.

                        Comments about Zinc Chromate:

I bought a 1920's to 1930's Art Deco brown tip slip shade chandelier knowing that it was made of cast aluminum and was badly corroded. I removed all of the white rust corosion from the fixture and then gave it two coats of the Moeller Zinc Chromate primer. It made a great base for applying the multi-step refinishing process that made the fixture look like aged silicon bronze metal with its bright raised areas and dark patina in all the recesses.

                            Comments about Zinc Chromate:

Excellent primer for bare aluminum to protect against aluminum oxidation (aluminum oxide). I used it to protect a cast aluminum chandelier after wire brushing all of the aluminum oxide corrosion off prior to top coating. Provided the needed/required protection for the aluminum and also an excellent base coat for the special top coating finish.
