Comments about Stern Saver - Black:

I purchased this Stern Saver mainly to prevent drilling holes in the transom of my new AlumaCraft MV1860AW SC LX Camo boat and for the flexibility of adjusting w/o resealing screw holes and/or drilling more holes in transom. This item done the trick and looks good. As far as getting better readings on my Lowrance Elite 7 HDI at high speeds there was little improvement on this boat with a Yamaha F-90. Then again Stern Saver makes no claims that it will. It does extend transducer 3/4" further behind transom which I prefer. I did send Stern Saver an email with several questions but never got a response, not a problem as I have figured it out for myself. I do hope they back their product if I do have any real issues. I have had the Stern Saver on my boat for 2 weeks now and only had one day on water so far. Everything held up fine, time will tell, I do hope it holds up for the life of the boat.
