Comments about Aqua Signal Waterproof Plug Connector:

Difficult to get the wires in the right place, seated, and secured. Easier with an extra hand, but not much room to do that where you have to work (ie. base of the mast). Once seated and secured, the connector works. However, it can be a continuing maintenance problem. No other obvious choices available for multiple wire connections.

Comments about Aqua Signal Waterproof Plug Connector:

When we re-built Blackadder we were looking for a dependable waterproof connector for the mast nav. lights (male connector) to the top of the deck (fem connector) and the boat's electrical system. This unit is great for that purpose and handles the current involved. However, the itsy-bitsy set screws that hold the wire, especially to the male unit are very hard to work with when you have a decent guage marine wire (3 duplex sets) running up the mast and all terminating in this connector. Also, after a few months use the locking system on the male connector broke - not a problem for connection but I'd rather have it locked. Overall not bad BUT your going to have to take a chill-pill to install this thing!

We're buying a whole new unit just so we can replace the male connector (the fem half is still working great on the deck) partially to replace the locking hasp but mostly becuase in my infinate wisdom, when I finally got the *&^%#(*! thing wired I locked the set screws with Lock Tight and we can't get them to let go so we can re-set the (+) ancor light lead which has worked lose.
