PENN
Ally Conventional Boat Casting Rods

Penn Ally Boat Rods are constructed with a one-piece tubular glass blank and a solid tip to help prevent breakage. For line management Penn has added Fuji stainless steel guides with aluminum oxide inserts. Standup models feature both Fuji guides and Pac Bay rollers. For added comfort, Ally rods feature PENN’s Triangular-shaped EVA Torque foregrip to reduce rod rotation while under pressure. Heavy duty graphite and machined aluminum reel seats keep a secure grip on the reel, while an aluminum gimbal provides added strength and a secure connection during the fight.

Comments about Ally Conventional Boat Casting Rods:

These are nice rods. took it out this weekend and hooked up a nice yellow. The tip action is a little stiff, but I really like the length. The shorter pole allows me to store it inside the boat, anywhere. The rod is solid! the graphite inserts mean no corrosion. I used it with my new avet reel and some 40lb braid, topped off with 20lb floro. I have the 20-50lb rod. Great set up for yellows and jigging for tunas. Stiff enough for trolling too, but still sensitive enough for bait on the paddies. Not graphite, so I dont have to be super careful with it. Sweet rod. Tough, durable, and stores anywhere because its nice and short.
